Service Learning

I completed my service learning at my middle school back home in Louisiana. I chose to complete this opportunity because during Spring break, I did not have anything important scheduled. While I was in Lafayette, school was still in session. Because of this, I was tasked with making sure the students completed their homework; I helped them if they needed assistance. I also helped the students improve their basketball playing techniques. I used my strategic thinking skills because when working with children, it is necessary to be able to solve many different problems without much notice. I also used my commanding presence to instill a bit of reverence with the children. I also helped the students stay on schedule and better their routines; which is the application of my discipline strength.
